Well…
It’s been almost three months since I last wrote a blog.
The last time you heard from me, I was busy fighting the board exams. I survived those (barely 😅), disappeared from this blog, and somehow life decided to hit the fast-forward button.
These three months have been filled with decisions, opportunities, overthinking, family discussions, endless “What next?” conversations, and enough plot twists to keep me away from writing.
But I’m back.
And this time, I’m not writing as a school student anymore.
I’m writing as a college student.
“Where am I going to spend the next three years of my life?”
I explored more options than I can remember. I compared colleges, attended counselling sessions, spoke to seniors, searched the internet, watched videos, and even looked outside India.
Yes, outside India.
At one point, I was seriously considering studying in China. Universities like Peking University and China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) were on my list. Even today, I received an offer from Shanti Business School, Ahmedabad 😅 .
Life has a funny way of surprising you.
Sometimes you spend months looking thousands of kilometres away for an opportunity, only to realise that the right one was standing much closer than you imagined.
Today was the third day of the induction program, and after spending three days observing everything around me, I finally made my decision.
I’m officially joining BBA at Kaushalya – The Skill University.
And yes…
This is my final decision.
First Impressions
Before anyone gets offended while reading this, let me make one thing very clear.
Everything written below is based on just three days.
These are not facts.
These are first impressions.
People change.
My opinions might change.
And if they do, I’ll happily write another blog admitting I was wrong.
Because changing your opinion after getting better information is called learning.
My Fellow Students
Now let’s begin with my classmates.
I don’t know what happened before I joined, but somehow this batch has mastered the art of converting the simplest situation into complete chaos.
Honestly…
Most of them are absolute buffoons.
And before someone gets offended, relax.
I’m writing this on my own blog because I’m pretty sure none of them are actually going to read it.
And if you’re reading this…
Congratulations.
You’re officially not one of the buffoons.
Jokes apart, every batch has its own energy.
but the power station has lost the power
Or maybe it’ll become content for future blogs.
Let’s see.
The Seniors
Now, about the seniors.
My first impression?
They’re… a fascinating species.
Some are genuinely kind, approachable, and willing to help. {this statement is completely false}
Others walked into the room with the confidence of people who’ve already built unicorn startups after surviving exactly one or two semesters.
A few came across as a little too self-important, a little too in love with hearing themselves speak, and not exactly overflowing with humility.
Maybe I’m completely wrong.
Maybe they’re wonderful people once you get to know them.
After all, this opinion is based on just a few interactions over three days.
So I’ll keep an open mind.
Until then, they’re safely sitting in my “Needs Further Investigation” category.
(If any senior is reading this… congratulations. You’ve probably already prepared a speech explaining why I’m wrong. 😄 If not, you are certified arrogant)
The Real Gold The Prof’s
Now comes my favourite part.
The faculty.
If I had to point at one reason why I feel confident about choosing Kaushalya, it would be the professors.
Within just three days, they managed to leave an impression.
The very first professor I met completely by coincidence was Dr Pushpkiran Singh. I had just entered the university with my father, and somehow she became the first faculty member I interacted with.
During the induction, I also met Dr S. P. Singh sir, Ashish Joshi Sir, and Shiv Kant Shukla Sir.
These are the names I remember today.
Maybe because they actually stood out.
Every one of them had a different personality, a different way of speaking, and a different way of looking at education.
If my observations from these three days are even remotely correct, Kaushalya has hired some genuinely good people.
Of course…
Three days are not enough to judge a professor.
But they’re enough to make a first impression.
This isn’t a university review.
This isn’t me saying Kaushalya is the best university in India.
This is simply my first impression after three days.
