Cultural Fest Auction

They say, “Change is the only constant.” But in our school’s cultural fest, the only constant is the same old faces, same old songs, and the same old nonsense.

Every year, they claim to celebrate “diversity,” but all they really do is hold a glorified auction where the same students get sold the best performances, and everyone else is left watching from the sidelines.

Dance: The Eternal Repeats

If you missed last year’s fest, don’t worry—you’ll see the exact same thing this year. Same girls, same songs, same moves. It’s like watching a soap opera where the story never moves forward, just changes costumes.

New dancers? Who cares about them! There are so many talented students who never get a chance because the selection is rigged like an IPL match in the ‘90s.

A school should be a place where new talent is discovered, not buried under the weight of recycled performances. But here? It’s an exclusive VIP club, and if you’re not in it, you don’t exist.

Music: The Land of No Ragas

Our fest has musicians who don’t even know ragas. Imagine hiring a chef who doesn’t know how to cook—that’s exactly what’s happening here.

I even told them, “Hey, I know a guy who actually understands this stuff.” But their rock-solid, prehistoric mindset kicked in: “No thanks! We prefer mediocrity.”

Because why bring in a skilled artist when you can just stick with the usual crowd who plays the same four notes on repeat?

The Same Old Faces on Stage

Introducing the legendary star cast of every school function:
nishad and Khanak – Always on stage. Because apparently, new students should just watch and learn while they take all the limelight.

Preet, dhyey, pratham– Yet another repeat performers from the same elite club. Always gets a role, whether deserving or not.
Khus – The rare decent one, but still part of the handpicked circle.

It’s a closed-loop system—they lift each other up, keeping fresh talent out. The fest is just a rehash of the same voices and faces, like an old playlist that no one updates.

The Principal’s Speech: A Comedy Special

Every year, our dear principal stands on stage and delivers the same iconic speech:
“We want new students to participate!”

Meanwhile, backstage, the same group gets selected again.

It’s like a king declaring “Equal rights for all!” while his ministers steal from the poor. Sounds great on paper, but reality? A joke.

Higher Management: The Real Buffoons

You thought this was just a teacher problem? Oh no. The real masterminds of this circus are sitting at the top.

They gave me ZERO time to plan, didn’t care about making this fest meaningful, and just wanted a quick, easy, done-and-dusted event.

Because why create something great when you can just copy-paste last year’s mediocrity?

Final Thoughts: Culture or Convenience?

This fest could have been an explosion of fresh talent, creativity, and real cultural appreciation.

Instead, it’s just an annual auction where the highest bidders (aka favorites) walk away with the spotlight, and the rest? Forgotten.

So the next time they say “Cultural Fest,” just remember—it’s not about culture. It’s about keeping the same people on stage, the same ideas in place, and the same mediocrity alive.

Welcome to the School Fest Auction—where only the privileged perform!
