Only the Paranoid Survive. first experience sharing of GTU motorsports

I have a serious problem.

I don’t know how to say NO.

Give me an interesting task, and I’ll take it.
Give me a new responsibility, and I’ll accept it.
Ask me whether I have time, and I’ll probably lie.

And that’s how GTMS (GTU Motorsports) got me.

Congratulations, GTMS.

You’ve recruited someone who is probably the most successful person in indiscipline.

And now, I’ve got another adventure.

My responsibility?

Bring money into the team.

Sponsorships. Fundraising. Money management.

Basically, keeping the team’s wallet alive.

And guess what?

They call me the Money Manager.

I LOVE THAT TITLE.

I’ve been fascinated by money since I was ridiculously young.

Making it, managing it, multiplying it.
Everything about it.

So naturally, I am enjoying this responsibility a little too much.

But today, the Money Manager nearly lost his mind.

We had a sponsorship meeting.

A meeting that should have taken 30 minutes.

It took TWO BLOODY HOURS.

Two hours of discussions.
Two hours of unnecessary complications.

And the grand financial outcome?

Not a single penny spent.

But we somehow managed to spend a million minutes.

I don’t mind people not knowing how busy I am.
That’s fair.

But I do mind spending two hours on something that couldn’t even promise me a broken penny’s worth of value.

I like building things.
I like working with teams.
I love taking responsibility.

But unnecessary meetings?

Please. Spare me.

In the middle of all this, I told my brother that I actually liked this madness.

His response?

“Against all odds.”

And honestly, that’s probably the unofficial motto of this entire GTMS adventure.

I complain.
I get irritated.
I question my decisions.

And then I sign myself up for something else.

Perhaps the problem isn’t GTMS.

Perhaps it’s the person who keeps saying YES.

Anyway, someone has to keep the team’s wallet wet.

And apparently, that someone is me.

Let’s see how this goes.
