politics starts in small groups

so i tried something last week.
just for fun. like a small psychology experiment.

i was with two close friends. they’re usually chill with each other.
but i wanted to test how people actually react to small things.
so i picked one of them and just started hyping him up.

not fake compliments—just a little more than usual.
i said stuff like,

“bro you’re seriously the smartest in this group.”
“you actually think different, i respect that.”

didn’t mention the other friend. not even a hint.
but guess what?
he got quiet. a bit off. fake smiling.
then slowly started disagreeing with the guy i complimented.

by the next day—they weren’t even vibing like before.
i didn’t do anything wrong.
just gave attention to one.
but the other felt left out.
and their brain did the rest.

i tried it again in a different group.
same result.

small praise = silent competition.

this is how politics works too.
you don’t always need to attack.
you just raise one person high enough that the others feel small.
you don’t need to fight.
you just create enough tension that others do it for you.

then you sit in the center. clean hands. full control.

i also tried this other thing—
if you want someone to talk more or open up—
don’t act smart.
act curious.

say something like:

“wait fr? how does that actually work?”
even if you already know it.

the other person switches into this “let me explain” mode.
they talk more.
drop more info.
and you just sit there, collecting it.

this stuff works. like, too well.

feels like i unlocked a cheat code for people.
no drama. no chaos.
just moves. quiet, calculated ones.

anyways—just thought i’d share.
some play games.
some play people.
some study both.
